The Short Version

We collect zero personal data. Your test answers and scores exist only in your browser's memory and the URL hash. Nothing is sent to our servers. When you close the tab, your data is gone. No accounts, no cookies (beyond basic functionality), no tracking pixels, no analytics of individual behavior.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Your test answers or scores
  • Your name, email, or any personal identifying information
  • Your IP address (beyond what Cloudflare's infrastructure handles)
  • Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
  • Device fingerprints or persistent identifiers
  • Mental health information of any kind stored server-side

How Your Data Works

When you take a test on DepressionTests.org:

  1. Your answers are stored temporarily in your browser's JavaScript memory
  2. When you complete the test, your score is placed in the URL hash (e.g., #score=12)
  3. The URL hash is never sent to our server - it exists only in your browser
  4. If you close the browser or navigate away, all data is lost
  5. If you share your results link, anyone with the link can see your score in the URL

Infrastructure and Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect aggregate, anonymized traffic analytics (page views, countries of visitors, etc.) for infrastructure purposes. Affiliate Links (BetterHelp)

Some pages on this site contain affiliate links to BetterHelp, an online therapy service. If you click these links and sign up for BetterHelp's services, we may receive compensation.

When you click an affiliate link:

This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you are under 18, please take these screenings with the knowledge of a trusted adult and discuss results with a parent, guardian, or school counselor.
